About Amanda
I’m Amanda, and I’m a therapist for people who want therapy to feel human, conversational, and actually useful.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Utah, and Vermont. I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, depression, ADHD, identity exploration, relationship stress, and major life transitions. I’m also a member of the LGBTQ+ community, and I provide affirming support for clients exploring identity, family dynamics, self-esteem, and relationships. I believe families and relationships come in all shapes and sizes, and I am kink and poly aware.
My approach is pretty conversational. I don’t have a problem engaging clients, asking questions, noticing patterns, and helping identify themes when things feel hard to untangle. I especially enjoy working with introverted clients, overthinkers, and people who worry they will have “nothing” to say or “don’t know where to start.” Clients who are new to therapy often tell me our first session felt easier than they expected. Therapy might not be “fun,” exactly, but it does not have to feel intimidating, frightening, or completely devoid of humor.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my dogs, crafting, watching sci-fi or anime, and playing video games. I also have no problem labeling myself as a Trekkie and named two of my dogs after Star Trek characters: Riker and Ezri, for those of you who might be curious. If you are looking for a nerdy therapist, I definitely fit that bill.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, awkward, or overwhelming, especially if you are not sure where to begin. My goal is to make the process feel a little less intimidating and to offer a space where you can show up as yourself, be taken seriously, and feel supported as you work toward change.

A few things to know about working with me
I tend to be a good fit for clients who are thoughtful, sensitive, anxious, self-critical, neurodivergent, queer, creative, or just tired of trying to hold everything together. You do not need to show up with a perfect agenda, a polished explanation, or the “right” thing to talk about.
In sessions, I’ll help you slow things down, notice patterns, make sense of what is happening, and figure out what actually feels doable. My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and very human. Therapy can be serious without feeling cold, and honest without feeling harsh.
